The process behind each scarf is laborious and intricate as every component is hand drawn. In the case of the square scarf, it is a fully hand drawn square painting printed on beautiful silks. Lavina selects her colours carefully; it is a very intuitive process aiming to achieve unique combinations. From there on, she mixes colours to obtain the exact same results as in her colour research and vision. After outlining her drawing composition (with fine brushes for maximum precision), she paints for hours and hours: a process that is very therapeutic and joyful.
The final paintings are art pieces to be treasured and shared in their palpable form through silk scarves and garments. Vivid and meticulous, the details draw your attention and coalesce in an uttermost expression of Lavina’s soul.
After months of work, the unique prints are tested in various fabrics and qualities. We work mainly with local suppliers, finding the best materials to engage all senses and tickle the imagination with feelings beyond our experience. We test a few of them until we find the perfect match.
